Are brown recluse spider bites dangerous?

Brown recluse spider bites have the potential to be dangerous.   If you've been bitten by one of these venomous spiders you may not notice it right away.  Within a couple of hours you could see redness and blistering around the site.  Other symptoms of a brown recluse bite include fever, nausea, vomiting, headache, joint pain or stiffness and convulsions. Seek medical care if you think you've been bitten by a venomous spider or if you are not sure what type of spider it was.
