You have to wonder why an insect that thrives underground where there is plenty of moisture and organic matter to feed on and that cannot survive more than a few days inside structures would try to get in. I mean who (or what) does that? I know that jumping out of an airplane without a parachute or swimming in shark-infested waters could and likely would end very bad for me so I would pass on both those exhilarating experiences. Why wouldn’t millipedes do the same?
