The Buzz of Nashville
In Like a Lion... Out Like a Lamb
March weather can be wildly unpredictable... from snow to 70 degrees. But, one thing we can predict... is that spring is just around the corner! The number one indicator of spring in our business is household ants & termites. Yep... those little pesky colonies keep us busy all spring long and into the summer.
Ants and termites can surprise you with swarms. To tell the difference between a ant swarm & a termite swarm, take a look this diagram. A swarm isn't anything to fear... call today for preventative pest control or a free termite inspection.
Questions I get Asked:
Why doesn't Windex or other household cleaners get rid of my ants?
Ants in your kitchen (or any other area of your house for that matter) can be extremely frustrating and difficult to control. At first sight of ants, many people grab whatever household cleaner is at arms reach... unfortunately, this rarely does the job intended.
An ant colony may be under your house, in your yard, or a ways away from the house. The queen is in command and sending the workers out to find food sources to feed the colony. Attempting to control the ants you see with a household cleaner doesn't get to the root of the problem-- the queen & colony. When the ants you kill don't bring back food, the queen just summons a new batch of ants back to your kitchen to finish the work... and the problem continues.
